Faith Formation Ministry Circle

It takes the gifts of many to make St. Patrick’s the vibrant, spirit-filled community that it is. Please consider which of the following ministries calls to you. Your interests, your gifts, and your energy are a welcome addition to our community.

Adult Faith Development Committee

Do you enjoy learning and growing in your faith? Do you like to read spiritual books and share your insights with others? Our adult Faith Development committee needs members like you! We meet monthly on the first Monday to plan and oversee opportunities for parishioners to grow spiritually and faithfully, be it lectures, book discussion, retreats, DVD/discussion groups, etc.

Children Faith Formation

The children in our parish, 3 years old through 8th grade, have the opportunity to attend weekly faith formation sessions from October through May. The curriculum varies for each age group, but the goal is to help our children develop awareness of the Catholic faith as well as begin to see how faith and life go together. Those who are natural teachers, have a passion for sharing their faith or enjoy the spirited openness and energy of children would make ideal catechists for the sessions.

Sharing the Good News

We provide an opportunity for those who want to be baptized (RCIA), those who are baptized in another faith and want to become Catholic (full communion) or those who are coming back to the Church (returning Catholics) to learn and grow in the Catholic faith. Teams of parishioners form to accompany these “seekers”. If you have a knack for mentoring others or enjoying talking about what your faith means to you, please consider being on a team for one of these groups.

Baptism Preparation

If you know the joy of having your own child baptized and the blessing of being a parent, you have the life experience that is needed for being part of the baptism preparation team. Meeting with parents who are preparing to have their infant/child baptized offers an opportunity for you to encourage other parents as they begin the journey of Christian parenthood.

High School Youth Ministry

The teenage youth, grades 9th-12th grade, of our parish have the opportunity to attend weekly gatherings with their peers from October through May as well as participate in monthly outings, activities, and service opportunities. The discussion each week is driven by the group’s interests and questions, but the goal is to facilitate a space where our youth can question and explore their faith. Those who are open-minded facilitators, creative planners, and a willingness to share their own faith journey, would be welcome to join the youth group team of leaders and chaperones.
