Community Ministry Circle
It takes the gifts of many to make St. Patrick’s the vibrant, spirit-filled community that it is. Please consider which of the following ministries calls to you. Your interests, your gifts, and your energy are a welcome addition to our community.
Welcome Ministry
The Welcome Ministry provides focus and leadership in support of our parish goal: “Everyone who comes to St Pat’s will feel Welcome”. Parishioners can participate on an ongoing or project specific basis. Opportunities include:
Greeters: On a rotating schedule, greeters welcome people as they arrive for Mass, hand out bulletins, encourage people to wear name tags and, after Mass, provide a thank you to people for coming.

Welcoming Volunteers: Join this pool of parishioners who contact all new members and inquirers to make sure they are Heard, Seen and Loved in a personal way.
Newcomer Events and Activities: Volunteer on a project specific basis to staff the Welcoming Table downstairs after Mass, to help host a quarterly Newcomers/ Brunch, and to suggest other ways of achieving our goal in an authentic and sustaining manner.

Socials
Gathering together around food and good conversation is an important requirement for keeping a faith community strong. Helping with one of our social events during the year is a great way to meet new folks or share you talent for entertaining, decorating or cooking. Our seasonal socials are: Oktoberfest, Epiphany Coffee Hour; St. Patrick’s Day Party, Talent show, Parish Picnic and Parish Camp.

Coffee Hour
The purpose of our Coffee Hour is to build our community by providing an opportunity for parishioners and guests, to meet socially after mass. The Coffee Hour host ensures that the coffee and hot water, cream, sugar, donuts, etc. are set out after each mass and then clean up afterwards. We could also use someone in the Fremont/ Ballard area to help pick up the doughnuts and other items Sunday morning.

Cabrini Ministry
Those who go through the 6-month Cabrini Ministry training program provide pastoral support for parishioners who are ill, homebound or grieving. If you feel a call to minister one-on-one to those in vulnerable situations, being a Cabrini Minister will give you the training and skills needed to fulfill you call.

Receptions
Providing hospitality for those newly initiated at Easter or First communion or after a funeral are important ways for the parish to fulfill its call to be welcoming and supportive. If you have a natural ability to provide hospitality or have experienced the gift of being welcomed warmly, you are invited to consider sharing your gifts in the area of parish receptions.
